Kept with care
Your memory,
shared your way.
This guestbook was made by Anthony for Scott DelRegno’s family. It collects memories from people who knew and loved him.
Who can hear or read my memory?
Scott’s family and the person helping them manage this guestbook can access your name, your relationship to Scott, your message, and any recording you send. Sharing is private by default. The family can download and keep copies.
If I choose to share on Scott’s memorial
Turning on “Share on Scott’s memorial” lets anyone with this page’s link see your name, how you knew Scott, and your recording or written memory. Visitors can listen without a family passphrase. The link and your contribution can be copied or shared beyond the original guests. Automatic transcripts stay in the private family collection.
The family can hide an individual shared memory or the entire public memorial. Private contributions are never made public by that switch. When sharing is turned off, new public playback links stop working; links already issued may work for up to one minute, and copies someone already saved cannot be recalled. Previously submitted private memories remain private.
Where are recordings kept?
Recordings are stored in private Supabase storage. The website runs on Vercel. The site grants public playback only for explicitly shared memories. Access to the full family collection requires a private passphrase, and audio playback links expire. There are no advertising trackers on this site.
What about a written transcript?
Automatic transcription is not enabled. Your recording will be saved as audio. We will not send it to a transcription service without your permission.
Your unfinished draft
Your browser keeps an unfinished draft on this device so you can return after an interruption. After a successful send, the draft is cleared. You can also remove it by clearing this site’s browser data. On a shared phone, send your memory or clear the site data before handing it back.
Changing your mind
If you would like your contribution removed or corrected, please contact Anthony or Scott’s family directly. Tell them the name you used and roughly when you sent it. If the family has already downloaded a copy, ask them to remove that copy too.
Keeping these memories
The family can close submissions immediately or choose a closing time. Closing does not remove existing memories. The family can also move a contribution to a recoverable trash collection. It disappears from the memorial and can only be restored privately. Trash keeps the original recording; it is not permanent deletion.
These memories are intended as a keepsake for the family. They will remain in the collection until the family chooses to remove them. The family is encouraged to download a separate backup.
